New Year’s Schedule

Hello Great Bay Tai Chi Community!

Just a quick note about our schedule for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

All Tuesday classes on New Year’s Eve will occur as scheduled, including Long Form at 6:30pm.

On New Year’s Day, our 9:00am class in Hamilton has been cancelled, but the 10:30 class in Salisbury will meet as scheduled.

100 Day Challenge

With the start of the New Year, we invite and encourage our students to consider taking on a 100 Day Challenge. These challenges are a Chinese alternative to the New Year’s Resolution. The only requirement is that your challenge be something you physically do, rather than a concept. Some examples of past challenges include:
Form Practice
Qigong
Yang Symbol
Post Standing (Zhan Zhuang)
Sword Practice
50 Push Ups

One of the great things about these challenges is that if you miss a day, it’s not a failure, but you can continue the following day. We have charts available at the studio that you can take home to track your progress, or post in the studio so others can cheer you on. Taking on a specific subject to practice consistently for 100 Days allows for greater focus and will help you make great improvements in your practice. Please think about what challenge is right for you!
